Peps Industries Private Limited, founded in 2006 by G. Shankar Ramm along with partners K. Madhavan and P. Manjunath, introduced scientifically designed innerspring mattresses to a market then dominated by coir and foam. Headquartered in Coimbatore, Peps holds a long-term (30-year) licensing agreement with Restonic Corporation of the USA — the world's fourth-largest spring mattress brand, dating to 1936 — giving it access to global innerspring technologies, zonal support and spinal alignment engineering unavailable to other Indian manufacturers. Peps is vertically integrated, manufacturing mattresses, pillows, comforters, protectors, fitted sheets and bed linen (under its Dream Decor accessories brand) all in-house, including dedicated production lines for flexible polyurethane and visco-elastic (memory) foam. Its product portfolio spans premium lines like Spineguard and Restonic-branded mattresses to the eco-friendly Organica (chemical-free bio-cotton and Belgian eco-latex), and features branded technologies such as Zero Disturbance Technology and the Marvellous Middle Advantage. Peps holds roughly 35-40% of India's organized spring mattress market, producing over 300,000 mattresses a year across 13,000+ SKUs priced from ₹15,000 to ₹180,000, with sustainability initiatives including Tata Steel springs (for recyclability) and over 90% landfill-waste reduction. The brand sells through 4,000+ multi-brand retail outlets and 150+ exclusive company-owned 'Great Sleep Store' outlets across India, and celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2025-26 with campaigns like 'Spring is King'.
