Drools is India's largest homegrown pet food brand, manufactured by Drools Pet Food Private Limited, headquartered in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh with corporate offices in Bengaluru. Drools began around 2009-2010 as a division within the Indian Broiler (IB) Group - a major protein-focused conglomerate - before being formally incorporated as a standalone entity in September 2018. The brand sells dry food, wet food, treats, fresh food, supplements and cat litter for dogs and cats, plus a Prescription Diet range for special dietary needs, all formulated by veterinary nutritionists with claimed backing from experienced US-based veterinarians and animal experts. The company operates three manufacturing facilities with a combined annual capacity of approximately 89,400 metric tons, has raised approximately $60 million from L Catterton (a global consumer-focused investment firm) at a reported ~$1 billion valuation, and more recently received a minority financial investment from Nestlé, which stated Drools would remain strategically and operationally independent. Drools reported approximately ₹932 crore revenue for FY25 and employs 2,800-3,500+ people.
