About CITY HOME

CITY HOME (formerly CITY Furniture) is a Florida-based home furnishings retailer founded in 1971 when recent college graduate Kevin Koenig opened Waterbed City in Fort Lauderdale with $1,500 in savings, selling waterbeds for $29.95. Joined by his brother Keith, the business grew and was reinvented as CITY Furniture in 1994, expanding into full furniture and decor. Keith's son Andrew now serves as CEO alongside his father, continuing family leadership. The company recently rebranded to CITY HOME, expanding beyond furniture into decor, mattresses, closets, vanities, appliances, bath and more, and is now the 15th largest furniture retailer in the USA. CITY HOME operates numerous showrooms across Florida (Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, Orlando, Sarasota and more), offering same-day delivery in many markets, free interior design services, virtual showroom tours, a CITY Sleep mattress gallery in every location, and in-store cafes (KC Café & Wine Bar) at select showrooms. The company donates a minimum of 5% of annual profits to charity and states it is carbon neutral.
